Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017. It was awarded for best Song. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., located in Medellin, a Sony distribution company. It peaked at number eight at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna and Ozuna the year after. He also collaborated together with Noriel for Mala Influencia in 2020 and next year, released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. The singer appeared in 2021 on a duet TINI on her streaming hit track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was first released in 2023. Turizo was born into music-loving family. His older brother and mother are also musicians. According to Turizo, music is a vital aspect of his daily life. He began learning to play the guitar, saxophone piano, and ukulele as when he was a child. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian advised him to go for singing classes with the help of a Cuban instructor. As a result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered the course of his life.
